Technologically Advanced Dental Care
Our personal approach to dental care is an important part of what sets us apart as a family dental office. In addition to taking the time to get to know every patient personally, we also take the time necessary to ensure that every service and treatment we provide is tailored specifically to your dental health needs. To help optimize that time, we utilize several different advanced technologies, from enhanced digital imaging to specially calibrated lasers, and more.
Every routine checkup and cleaning appointment includes a comprehensive visual exam to check for signs of concern that might warrant additional treatment. For optimal results, we may utilize a tiny digital intraoral camera, which is attached to a thin handheld wand that allows us to carefully maneuver the camera around your mouth. The inspection is comfortable and non-invasive, and the images it produces can be magnified up to 100 times without losing clarity or definition.
The use of a digital intraoral camera gives us a much better view of hard-to-see areas around your teeth, gums, and oral tissues. However, X-ray images are also an important part of your routine care, and offer a clear view of your teeth, their roots, and other oral structures that cannot be seen with a visual inspection. Compared to traditional radiography, digital X-rays emit up to 90 percent less radiation, and the images can be transmitted to a chairside monitor almost immediately.
Endodontic (root canal) treatment is often necessary when a tooth becomes extremely decayed, and in many cases, we can perform the procedure without the use of a traditional dental drill. Rotary endodontics involves the use of an advanced, handheld electrical rotary device that operates quietly and can help us access internal tooth infection more comfortably. In addition to the applications of dental sedation, the rotary technology can help make your root canal treatment more comfortable than you ever expected.
Scaling and root planing is one of the most effective ways to control gingivitis – the first stage of gum disease – and protect your smile. The process involves carefully cleaning plaque from your teeth roots, and using our innovative ultrasonic scaler, we can perform it more comfortably and precisely, and with optimal long-term results. The small handheld device uses specially calibrated ultrasonic waves to gently break up and remove deposits of plaque and tartar that have accumulated underneath your gums.
There are many different aspects of your oral health, and different structures that must work together for your bite to function properly. TruDenta® is an advanced diagnostic and treatment system for issues that can affect that function and cause chronic, sometimes severe symptoms. That may include frequent headaches, migraines, bruxism (chronic teeth-grinding), TMJ disorder, and more. With TruDenta®, you can find relief from these and many more symptoms without the use of medications or oral surgery.
Solea® soft and hard tissue laser
For procedures that involve minor oral surgery, such as gum contouring, our specially calibrated Solea® laser can often help you avoid the need for a traditional scalpel. For many procedures that involve slightly modifying (i.e., reshaping) your natural tooth structure, we can also utilize the hard tissue calibration to perform your treatment without the need for a drill. Both soft and hard tissue laser treatment offer significantly more comfort and precision compared to more traditional methods.
